i’ve just started watching wellington paranormal and it’s actually really good so far!
someone recommended it to me years ago, but the whole ‘paranormal’ bit really didn’t grab me because i couldn’t handle anything horror/supernatural/paranormal-adjacent. (i’ve gotten a bit better over time with that stuff after watching wwdits and seeing a comedic perspective).
anyway, i saw wellington paranormal recommended by google if you like ofmd (okay, i was THAT desperate for something good to watch), and so i googled and found out it was based on the wwdits movie and was like HELL YEAH i’ll watch this but i dunno about the whole cops thing…
but having just watched the first episode, i LOVE how the cops are portrayed as ridiculous, incompetent, comedically useless bumbling fucks!!
i also like that i’m not really on anyone’s side when i’m watching – if a demon’s trying to murder a bunch of people, i’m not supporting them, but the cops aren’t sympathetic characters either!
i hope this continues for the rest of the episodes because it’s fucking GREAT
